The first Anti-Sand Beach Mat with built in Umbrella hole! Introducing NoSand
One brutal August noon on Koufonisi, I -Tasos - spent more time
sliding my towel after the wandering umbrella than actually relaxing. Sun-burnt
and frustrated, I sketched a simple fix: put the umbrella in the middle of the
mat, not beside it.
That spark became NoSand - a 200 × 200 cm rip-stop nylon beach mat with a built-in 8 cm
pole slot, so the shade stays put and you stay cool all day.
But shade was only half the battle. Ordinary mats still dragged half the beach onto my towel. After months of prototyping (using the same parachute-grade fabric skydivers trust), we finally nailed the formula:
- Centers any pole up to 8 cm, so your shadow never drifts.
- Repels sand & water with a single shake.
- Anchors securely with four corner pockets—or stake on windy days.
- Packs to 15 × 18 cm and weighs < 500 g—smaller than a water bottle.
